The College
The London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism at the University of West London is an award-winning institution with over seven decades of teaching excellence in the service industries. Recognised as the top university in London for Hospitality, Leisure, and Tourism in the Guardian University Guide 2025, the college offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that lead to professionally accredited qualifications.
Our curriculum is designed to provide a holistic learning experience, equipping students with skills required to lead the next generation of service sector managers. The Role
As part of our academic team you will:
Plan and deliver teaching excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate level to students undertaking programmes of study within the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism with food production and nutrition specialisms, ensuring all academic quality processes are adhered to and monitored
Engage in Scholarly Knowledge Exchange: Actively participate in research, knowledge sharing, and professional development activities to enhance your own academic and professional expertise while contributing to the advancement of Hospitality and Food education.
Be committed to providing a high-quality service to our students and recognise the importance of maximising satisfaction through an engaging teaching and learning approach that brings both realism and energy to the student experience.
Provide proactive effective academic and pastoral support to all students and closely monitor their progress.
Actively contribute to supporting the development of marketing, recruitment, admissions, retention and progression plans and processes put in place to increase levels of achievement and student satisfaction in the areas of teaching and learning.
Be an ambassador for the London Geller London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism and the University of West London, engaging externally with industry and professional organisations and participating in internal events.
The Person
The candidate should have current knowledge of nutrition and culinary management to contribute to both our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Evidence of engaging teaching practice and an established research track record, or equivalent industrial experience, with appropriate outputs in a discipline relevant to the subject are also required.
Applicants do not have to hold a PhD in a relevant field but demonstrable track record of teaching experience within the Higher Education sector is looked for.
