The Department
Student Services is a large multi-disciplinary team that plays a crucial role in supporting our students. The Placement and Employment Service engage with employers, students, academic schools, central service departments and the local community to expand the choice and quality of employment opportunities on offer across disciplines with the aim of enhancing our students’ exposure to the world of work.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Placement & Employment Coordinator to work with the wider team in acting as the first point of contact, offering information and guidance to students’ schools/ colleges and employers.
Further responsibilities include providing administrative support for the internal Talent Bank recruitment service, processing high volume placement and employment opportunities, and monitoring and tracking student placement activity.
The role involves working with employers to source and advertise opportunities, organising careers fairs and employer events and providing information and advice to employers and students.
The Person
You will also have proficient IT skills including experience of maintaining database systems.
You will have demonstrable customer service skills, initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is well organised, able to prioritise and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment in an administration-led role.
