The University of West London (UWL) is one of the top 40 universities in the UK and the top modern university in London according to the influential Guardian University Guide 2021*.
We were also named University of the Year for Student Experience in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, being described by the editor as “regularly among the top-performing universities” and proving that “it is possible for a London-based institution to achieve outstanding levels of student satisfaction beyond other universities”.
Over the last few years, we have invested more than £150 million in our campus to create an inspiring social and learning environment for students. The University puts our students at the heart of everything we do: dedicated to providing an excellent student experience delivering positive, life-changing outcomes - a combination of career focused courses and tailored pedagogic care delivered within a supportive community.
The Department
Join our team of dedicated academics to support the delivery of courses in nursing and healthcare at UG and PG level. In particular we are interested in applicants with a strong interest in community nursing, leadership, public health and/or biosciences.
The Role
The academic team, together with the support of administrative and technical staff, deliver programmes to student nurses, nursing associate and post registration nursing students across our London and Reading campuses. Essential to this position will be the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with healthcare providers in Berkshire, North Hampshire, Surrey, and West London.
The Person
The successful candidate will have knowledge and clinical experience in the specialist area of adult nursing. An excellent appreciation of the NMC (2018) Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses is essential. Candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, other academics, clinical practitioners, and with our support and technical staff.
You will be expected to assist in the development and delivery of learning materials that are relevant, evidence-based and current, in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the college.
How to Apply
To apply click on ‘Apply Online’ and fill out the application form. Further information about the application process can be found here: https://jobs.uwl.ac.uk/display.aspx?id=1253&pid=0
