The Department 

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is recruiting a Donor Relations Officer to join a successful team working to advance the University’s mission by raising philanthropic income.  

The Role

The Donor Relations Officer plays a vital role in thanking our supporters, making them feel valued and communicating the impact of philanthropy in creative and engaging ways. Working with donors to strengthen relationships and supporting our fundraisers to identify and engage with potential donors is key to this position. 

This is a varied and dynamic role with a focus on the data management, administration and research that underpins the donor stewardship programme in combination with the creative and personalised engagement activities that make our donors feel special. 

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and coordination of the gift management process in order to ensure prompt and relevant gift fulfilment and the maintenance of that will further enhance the relationship between the University and its donors.

The Person 

The post holder will need to be self-motivated, highly organised and experienced at managing data. 

You may already work within a fundraising team in the higher education or charitable sector or you may work in a role outside of fundraising but with transferable skills.

You will be highly-skilled at delivering administration and understand the importance of donor stewardship. 

Your excellent writing skills will enable you to produce engaging and bespoke donor communications. 

You will be a strong team player with demonstrable experience of building relationships.
