The Department

The Strategic Planning team is a small agile team based in the Directorate and is responsible for analysing primarily student data for various scopes across the whole student lifecycle journey. The team provides inputs in various process but is primarily focused on data analytics for the improvement of business processes and outcomes.

The Role 

You will lead on the analytics and strategic work that informs and underpins data and evidence based decision-making across the University. You will lead the team responsible for ensuring that the data and information are used to provide the basis that helps measure the performance of the University and develop the insights that drive the decisions at the different level and functions of the institution.

You will be a key contact for academic and professional services. You will provide expert advice and evidence that support business operations and you will be the go-to person for insight and data. 

The Person 

You will be highly analytical, able to work independently and have first hand experience of working with data and providing analysis that has an impact. You will be driven by intellectual curiosity and will be motivated to explain things. You will enthuse these principles to your team and work towards building data insights across every aspect of the University’s life. 

You will have knowledge of the HE sector policy developments and together your skills and knowledge will enhance the evidence driven culture of the University.
