The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals. 

The IT Department at the University of West London is a dynamic and forward-looking department and is currently undergoing a series of transitional projects to improve staffing and student IT facilities across all sites.

To that effect, we are looking for a committed, focused and experienced IT Procurement Assistant to provide a professional, effective and knowledgeable service for the procurement and supply of IT services, hardware, software and consumables for the University’s staff and students.  This role also requires good knowledge of a range of software applications and IT hardware.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), experience in purchasing and stock control, ability to work with Higher Education staff at all levels, ability to manage tight deadlines & competing workloads and strong numeracy skills would be ideal for this role – however what is important is that you have a real interest and curiosity in delivering an excellent service. Unfailingly courteous, you have a real way with customers and you're always eager to help and learn. You're also good at picking things up quickly, have a keen eye for detail, are able to explain things clearly and prioritising a busy workload.

In essence we are looking for a "can do" attitude with the customer at the heart of everything we do!

If you are passionate about IT, good purchasing and time management skills, delivering excellent customer service and current experience within the higher education sector then we would be keen to hear from you. Please note that due to the nature of this post the successful candidate must be prepared to occasionally work outside of normal hours to meet the requirements of the business.
