The College of Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare at the University of West London is a leading provider of midwifery education in London and the Thames Valley.   • Contribute to the teaching, learning and assessment of pre and post registration midwifery students.
  • Contribute to the teaching and learning of other pre-registration students within the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare
  • Work in partnership with the course team, practice staff, students and service users to deliver high quality education within the university and practice,that is relevant to maternal health service users and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of pre and post-registration midwifery courses and modules
  • Undertake a link lecturer role in a maternity unit.
  • Provide educational support for mentors.
  • Undertake the role of Personal Tutor.
  • Assist in the professional academic, research and scholarly profile of midwifery within the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Health care.

Participate in wider university activities relevant to the courses and their administration.

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to work within a team

An ability to use initiative and work to deadlines

Understanding of contemporary midwifery practice and policy

Ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners, including Trust, PCTs, Independent, Voluntary and Private sector.
