The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of connected creative, business and service professionals. The Education Field is an exciting new development within the School of Human and Social Sciences and having successfully established their undergraduate provision they are now developing Post Graduate provision.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to contribute to our Early Years /Education Studies courses. You will join our committed academic team in providing a high quality student experience.  We are keen to speak with candidates who have the drive and commitment to enhance the academic profile of the school in terms of teaching and research excellence.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching at all levels from Level 3 to Level 6 of our courses, to contribute to the development of our Post Graduate Provision and to provide support to students in both theoretical and practical areas of Education/Early Years Education. The candidate will contribute to the research output of the School, both in individual and team research projects. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to generating initiatives to bring third stream income into the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified candidates with a PhD in Education/ Early Years Education, or cognate area.  Relevant, proven teaching is an essential aspect of this post and module leader experience would be an advantage. For successful applicants without relevant teaching qualifications then they will join the UWL Academic Professional degree apprenticeship scheme supporting the UK government’s commitment to up skill the UK workforce.

The role holder must have knowledge of current developments in Early Years/Education and an up to date research portfolio. Experience of generating third stream income and developing external funding would also be an advantage.
