We are currently working on the development of our new Strategy for 2023-2028, so now is an excellent time to join us.

We are a team of 38 full-time employees and up to 100 part-time student staff and we deliver on a range of areas focused on improving the engagement, retention and success of our student members. We undertake work focused on policy and advocacy; advice; events and community development.

This role is supported by a team of two HR Coordinators and covers the full scope of HR related operations including recruitment; retention; reward; payroll; business partnering; policy and strategy. The Manager function is also assisted by retained external HR advisors.

A key focus of this role in the coming 12 months will be:

  • The development of an employee wellbeing strategy
  • Preparation of a new workforce plan
  • Expansion and development of the organisations learning and development activities
  • Review of the employee recruitment and onboarding experience

This role would ideally suit someone with at least 3 years’ experience working in HR that has a desire to step up to a manager role and is interested in the broad spectrum of the HR function. The role presents an opportunity to work with a fun and dynamic team and in an organisation with a proven track record for caring about the development and wellbeing of our employees.

The role is offered with a salary of up to £40k and consideration will be given to part-time or other engagement options.
