Excluding specialist providers.</p><p>** Calculated as the average of all questions, using registered populations.</p><p><strong>School of Pharmacy</strong></p><p>Founded in 2026 the School of Pharmacy&#39;s vision is to be a contemporary and high performing School with excellence in education, professional credibility, strong student outcomes, and a clear external identity.</p><p><strong>The Role&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The University of West London is seeking to appoint an exceptional and ambitious academic leader as its inaugural Head of School of Pharmacy, a rare opportunity to shape and lead a new School from its foundation. The successful candidate will play the leading role in establishing Pharmacy at UWL, setting its academic direction, shaping its culture, developing its external partnerships, and ensuring that it is positioned for long term success from the outset. &nbsp;This role will appeal to a leader who is motivated by the opportunity to create a contemporary and high performing School of Pharmacy with excellence in education, professional credibility, strong student outcomes, and a clear external identity. Working closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and other senior colleagues, the postholder will lead the development of the School&rsquo;s strategy and translate ambition into delivery across curriculum, quality, people, partnerships, research, enterprise and resource management. The Head of School will have a central role in ensuring that the School is built on strong academic foundations, develop a modern curriculum with robust quality assurance, a commitment to inclusive and excellent teaching, and full alignment with General Pharmaceutical Council requirements.</p><p><strong>The Person</strong></p><p>Beyond operational leadership, this is an opportunity to leave a genuine institutional and professional legacy. The inaugural Head will act as the principal ambassador for Pharmacy at UWL, building trusted relationships with professional bodies, the NHS, the wider health economy, industry and other key stakeholders. They will be expected to create a compelling vision for the School, inspire multidisciplinary teams, foster a strong and inclusive culture, and build a platform for research, knowledge exchange and external engagement that enhances both reputation and impact. &nbsp;We are therefore looking for a candidate with the experience and authority to lead at senior level, together with a proven track record in academic Pharmacy leadership, quality and accreditation, curriculum development, partnership building and organisational growth.
